I have no idea who he is, but he has a Standard Tao in his garage, so this kind of belongs here...

part 1- The Plan
part 2 - The Dig
part 3 - Making the Bunker
part 4 - Concrete

pretty sweet, but also depressing/creepy

i love colin furze. been saving the bunker vids.

he's a plumber, which makes everything he does all the more awesome.

i think he has roots in skating. not surprised to see a bmx.

it's depressing/creepy because there's a chance that he might actually need it for something other than weather, and because it probably wouldn't be very effective, or could be a death trap...

I've known Colin since the early 90's, damn good flatlander in his day, and defo into the techinical side of mini ramp, even pulled a nose pick full barspin once.
He's never been normal.
There's plenty of vids on his computer that he could never put out, homemade shotguns, bombs etc
also, the tightest man to walk the planet.

lot's of good stuff, and spots that were talked about on here (brick banks?) around 2000/2002... He was definitely better than I ever was.

the level of style today is too damn high

nosepick to barspin around 2:45, and he looks EXACTLY like me when I was 12/13 years old in that clip, no joke. except for his face, you could show stillframes to my family and they'd think it was me.

I think based on the set up of the old st nicolas skatepark in belgium in the video it dates to 1999.
There is also footage of the park in Luxemburg.
the brick banks in dusseldorf are gone as far as i know.

these things are super dangerous.
when i was 15 years old i build one on scouts camp to shoot water balloons in a soccer field.
by the time we were able to shoot 5kg balloons over the entire field we kind of realize how dangerous those things are.
So go for it!

his latest video is him asking for ideas for a big new project. I know it's unrealistic, but I want to see somebody build a surfboard fullpipe so bad...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkjpnMY7W78&start=269

they had a better clip of an almost safer-looking version of it when the guys actually made it onto the show, but I don't feel like finding it

and ill leave this here. P.O.W. and S&M pro rider Dave Clymer was in the UK for the backyard jam in 1994 which happened to be the same weekend the wall of death show was in town, he persuaded the guys to let him try it and never done too badly.

i was at this, and the motorcycle show was one of the best things ive ever seen.

2 days ago, driving home around 10 in the morning, and I turn the radio up as I hear something about a british inventor named colin furze.

It was a minute-long ad(?) about his catapult bed from however many years ago... one of the dumbest/most dangerous things he did, (unless it was actually about trap/vault doors?) and all of the sudden I'm hearing about it on my local radio channel?

I see that he's got new videos up right now, but the ad wasn't about those.

Is he about to be in a movie or something? Did he do something else recently that I missed/didn't catch in the ad?

well, he quit being a plumber a few years ago and now funds his projects with money from ford and intel and tv shows and stuff. i wouldn't be surprised if they had him do some promotion as part of the deal.

yeah, he even said it a few video's back.
youtube red came with a show to him, and made it sound a lot better that what it is. but once you signe up to do something like that, you kind of have to make the best of it.

as for tv sucking, look to the video again and check the things you don't see:
brand stickers, bmx t-shirt, drew without a helmet, because his said red bull, ...

colin is in the first place a 'content creater' so tv shows need to let him do what he does, and just tag along, and not say follow this script.

on the video he pointed some things out,
the most important being that this show is made for young kids, while his youtube channel is going to stay like it is.
this then makes a lot more sense, because as a 9 year old i could see this working.

Fuck that. Adults want to see shit blown up and lit on fire, and motors put into things that shouldn't have motors.

9 year olds can fuck right off.

I really wish he would stop dismantling perfectly good honda motorcycles, but the twin-fan hover bike is the ballsiest creation I've ever seen (until that one guy attached his hammock to a drone)

making a "turbo jet engine" with no tools except a drill and angle grinder.

part 1

part 2

the thing i love is how visibly dissatisfied he is during the creation process and then how he goes nuts when he fires it up. i mean, his hamming it up always makes me a little uncomfortable for sure, but there's something so raw and real about it in this case.
