Not having cable television, I spend a lot of "tv time" on netflix(*checks once a month for that one "ok" show or movie they upload*), topdocumentaryfilms.com, listening to podcasts, and youtube.

Lately, I've been coming across some pretty good (or at least entertaining) youtube channels and I thought we could list some of our favorites:

The Great War - WW1 Channel

History Buffs - Brit kid making great historical movie reviews.

Cinema Sins - Pretty famous by now, but an awesome channel that rips apart bad (and good) movies.

The School of Life - Short animated vids that cover a wide range of topics.

Forgotten Weapons - Gun history and such. I'm not really a gun person, but I still find these videos facinating.

Lindybeige - Probably my favorite channel right now. Geeky, older, LARPING, dancing, RPG'ing Brit plays with medieval stuff and such and goes to cool places.

Rekt Feminist Videos- Self-explanatory, hilarious.

Eric The Car Guy - Self-explanatory, cool guy doing cool car stuff in his own shop.

Motor Trend - Pretty famous, basically PowerBlockTV for a new generation.

Honorable mentions:

Colin Furze (duh)
Primitive Technology
Rebel Media - Gavin McInnes (co-founding asshole of Vice) is an asshole and sometimes right. Rest of the videos are zzzzz.
Undoomed - More feminist wrecking. (I can't help it, they're so entertaining)
Dan Carlin - War, history, politics. Great podcaster.
Empire BMX - I dunno, I heard something about livestreaming, but that dude doesn't upload very often. Shame, quality content.

If one or more links don't work, try this.

I feel like a real dork posting these, but I've been watching metal detecting videos a lot lately. I don't own one, or plan on owning one, but the very first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning was a gravel parkinglot at some ballfields that would be amazing for it... Combined with shipwreck stuff, my dreams have been awesome lately.

this kid gets so happy just finding trash/pennies, and he reminds me of a southerner cousin of mine named jon-bot...
https://www.youtube.com/user/nuggetnoggin/videos

this guy finds a ton of artillery shells, and has some good videos of musket/rifle finds...
https://www.youtube.com/user/aquachigger/videos

these guys find a ton of amazing war stuff in europe, and their research is good
https://www.youtube.com/user/HistoryRevived/videos

also,

junkyard wars/scrapheap challenge episodes
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCR8eRiiSx0a0Ekr8ea7EMAA/videos?sort=dd&view=0&shelf_ id=0
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiUCbU5wsrqzoHj1RImEduA/videos?sort=dd&view=0&shelf_ id=0

george posted this recently - every mythbusters episode
https://www.reddit.com/r/MythBustersEpisodes/wiki/index
this helps - http://mythresults.com/

this playlist has a ton of good stories from comedians, usually around 10-15 minutes each...
This Is Not Happening

this guy builds his own exoskeleton/lifting suit
https://www.youtube.com/user/MrTeslonian/videos

this guy seems kind of creepy, teaching people how to make rockets and cast weapons etc... but interesting. I guess like a square colin furze.
Grant Thompson - "The King of Random"

haha, tcutv episodes can either be really good, or plain depressing...

Forgotten Weapons is great. I always enjoy watching Ian explain the ins-and-outs of some obscure firearm I could never afford.

Empire, Dig, Bad 4 Life.

Check out The Backtrail Archives for some Bontrager-era Ryan Nyquist and 2-Hip era Birdwell footage.

I've been liking the skillcult guy for homesteading advice.

Really good information of grafting and working apple trees. Also takes about making biochar and slaking your own lime.
