Who on the board is vegan? I've gone vegan on and off for the better part of 10 years. I do it mostly for the soft poop and health.

Tired of telling people you're vegan?

I've done it and concluded that red meat is a healthy part of the human diet that should not be excluded.

burgers, ribs and steaks come at me

I dabble. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and lactose intolerant, so for the most part Id say 90% of what we eat is pretty much vegan. I've lost 20-25 pounds since Ive met her, so yeah, feeling good.

gave vegan a shot a few years ago and discovered that soy creamer tastes so much better than half/half.

still mostly meatless at home, but when i go out for dinner i'm not paying $15 for a plate of pasta.

Not vegan, but I've been making a more concerted effort to eat less "economeat" and more veggie-based meals recently. I don't do it for the animal welfare, more so for the the fact that 1. factory farmed meat and poultry is fucking disgusting and 2. Heart disease in my future is a pretty strong genetic probability and I'm getting to that point where the ol' metabolism is slowing down.

Plus, one wipers.

Dude thats awesome.

I've been really over dairy stuff for a while, so i found i actually really enjoyed switching to almond/rice milk and vegan cheese. For some reason i find them genuinely delicious.

Nah, but I've been vegetarian for something like 12 years. It's not something I think a whole lot at this point, but the idea of going back to eating meat and shit seems foreign to me. I had another thought here, but I lost it. Oh well

The times I've gone back to meat seem to come after a night of heavy drinking. I guess drunk me says, "fuck the animals and fuck my heart!"

Is there a reason why other vegans always feel the need to be "more vegan than you"?

Nah bud. Paleo with a strong emphasis on good fats for sustained energy and brain health. If you wanna protect your heart cut down on omega-6 heavy fats, stress, and added sugar/excessive amounts of fructose. I still treat myself to some garbage mexican food and sushi a few times per month.

To each their own though. Do what works for you.

I feel best when I just eat meat and vegetables. I love bread and sugary shit, but the less of it I eat the better I feel.

I dabbled with being vegetarian off and on for a couple of years and finally made the switch full on about five months ago. Honestly aside from cheese on pizza and dairy based ice cream once a week or so, I pretty much eat vegan.

It's been awesome. Feel a lot better. Combined with quitting drinking and running/exercise, I'm down 25-30 pounds.
